Message from the Chairman of West Bengal State Marketing Board

                      The West Bengal State Marketing Board has created its Web Site in tune with this new age of electronics and advance telecommunications, which is going to provide all vital information relating to marketing of agricultural produce and other related activities in West Bengal. All information on population, cultivators, production figures of all major items of agriculture and horticulture, climate, soil characteristics, rainfall, humidity, details of all Regulated Market Committees, list of cold storages, ware houses, State Marketing Act & Rules are made available for all. Steps have been taken to update the site every month by the officials of West Bengal State Marketing Boar and Directorate of Agricultural Marketing. The Board invites suggestions from all concerned for further improvements in the construction quality of the website and also about the contents.

                      I thank all officials of the Government, Directorate of Agricultural Marketing, State Marketing Board, National Informatics Centre for the effort they had rendered in preparation of the Website.

                     I am very happy that the West Bengal State Marketing Board will be launching a new Official Website through National Informatics Centre which has taken care to include information on Agriculture, Horticulture, Market information, infrastructures available in market yards of Regulated Market Committees. I congratulate the Minister-in-Charge, Agricultural Marketing Department, the Chairman of West Bengal State Marketing Board and his team of officials for launching the Website.
